Clinical expertise

Our pediatric neurology department treats infants, children and adolescents. Our highly trained pediatric neurologists provide comprehensive evaluation and management of many types of childhood neurological disorders and diseases affecting the nervous system and muscles, including:

  • Seizures, epilepsy and paroxysmal events
  • Headache
  • Brain and spinal cord tumors
  • Head trauma, including concussion and sport injuries
  • Neuromuscular disorders, including cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy and spasticity
  • Movement disorders, including tics and Tourette’s syndrome, dystonia and chorea
  • Structural abnormalities, including hydrocephalus and congenital anomalies
  • Developmental disorders, including autism, pervasive developmental disorder (PDD) and learning disorders
  • Metabolic disorders, including leukodystrophies, mitochondrial disorders and genetic syndromes
  • Neurocutaneous disorders, including tuberous sclerosis and neurofibromatosis
  • Dizziness and vertigo
  • Sleep disorders, including narcolepsy, periodic limb movements of sleep, restless leg syndrome, parasomnias and nocturnal events
